Red Light Therapy

Red Light Therapy for Acne & Blemish-Prone Skin

Red wavelengths support the skin's bacterial environment and inflammatory response to reduce active breakouts.

Blemish-prone skin

Mechanism

Why red light therapy for acne and blemish-prone skin

Light at specific wavelengths can calm inflammation and support a clearer complexion without medication or irritation. This makes it a gentle option for people who haven't tolerated topical or oral acne treatments well.

Targeted wavelengths

Our ARRC LED ATP RFQ bed delivers red and near-infrared light across an expanded range of chromophore targets. Red wavelengths work at the skin's surface; near-infrared penetrates deeper into tissue.

Cellular response

Light absorption increases cellular energy production (ATP), which supports tissue repair, collagen synthesis, and improved local circulation.

Cumulative benefit

Results build over a series of sessions. Most treatment plans involve 2–3 sessions per week over several weeks, tailored to your goals at your first visit.

Evidence

What the evidence suggests

  • It is cumulative, not instant. A clearer complexion builds gradually over a course of sessions rather than after a single visit.
  • Consistency matters. Outcomes are generally tied to regular sessions over several weeks.
  • It is a complement, not a cure. Red light therapy is best used alongside, not instead of, any skincare routine or treatment your physician recommends.
  • Results vary by skin and severity. How active the breakouts are and your skin type both affect what you can expect.

We set realistic expectations from the first conversation. If we don't think red light therapy is likely to help your particular situation, we'll tell you plainly.

Process

What to expect

  1. Initial consultation.

We review your goals, health history, and any medications that affect light sensitivity, then build your treatment plan.

  2. Treatment.

You relax lying down in our ARRC LED ATP RFQ bed for 10 to 20 minutes. Sessions are warm and comfortable, with no pain and no downtime.

  3. Follow-up.

We track your progress across sessions and adjust frequency and duration as your results develop.
